Our honeybees on the North Shore of Massachusetts thrive on a rich variety of blossoms that change with the seasons. In early spring, it is maple, willow, and fruit trees like apple and cherry, providing the first sweet nectar of the year. As spring warms into summer, the bees visit clover-filled fields, wild blueberry patches, and fragrant wildflowers such as black locust and honeysuckle. Mid-summer brings a bounty of basswood (linden) trees, sumac, and milkweed, while gardens and meadows offer lavender, bee balm, and echinacea. As autumn approaches, goldenrod and asters become the bees’ final feast, painting the landscape in yellows and purples while enriching the honey with deep, complex flavors.

Our family has been in the beekeeping business for over 45 years! Joe Gaglione is a master beekeeper and owns and runs Crystal Bee Supply (parent company). We have been providing the North Shore of Boston with everything you need to keep bees, learn about bees and we also work with many of the large local farms to pollinate their farms.
